Snow Plow Routes Map

Phase 1 snow routes in Lucas County are divided into districts and are defined as higher traffic volume routes.
Phase 2 snow routes in Lucas County are all other routes with normal traffic volumes in all districts.

Mailbox Claims & Policy

Mailboxes are occasionally struck and can be damaged by Lucas County Road Maintenance Vehicles. If you believe your mailbox was damaged in this manner, you must file a damage claim with the Office of the Lucas County Engineer by filling out the online form below or downloading the PDF form below and submitting it to our office via mail, fax or email at [email protected].

    Mailbox Damage Claim Form

    Per the Mailbox Damage Policy, dated September 1, 2018, the Office of the Lucas County Engineer will only repair or replace a mailbox when it is directly damaged by the snow plow or mower.  The Office of the Lucas County Engineer WILL NOT replace damaged mailboxes or supports when the damage is due to the force of snow or any other object thrown at a mailbox by a county snow plow or when the property owner has not mowed within 7 feet of each side of the mailbox if damaged by a mower. 

    CLAIM FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 2 WORKING DAYS OF THE OCCURRENCE. 
    PROVIDE AT A MINIMUM TWO PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGE (ONE IN EACH DIRECTION)
