Project Summary
The Lucas County Engineer's Office's Annual Chip Seal Program will be performing chip seal preventative maintenance on the following roads: Box Road (from Providence Neapolis Waterville Road to Jeffers Road) in Providence Township, Box Road (from State Route 295 to Heller Road; Frankfort Road (from S.R. 295 to Degenfelder Lane) in Spencer/Harding Township; Garden Road (Whitehouse Spencer Road to Eber Road) in Spencer/Monclova Township, Hertzfeld Road (Neowash Road to Neopolis Waterville Road) in Providence/Waterville Township; Jeffers Road (S.R. 295 to 0.14 north of Patton Road W) in Providence Township; and Schadel Road (Bailey Road to Neapolis Waterville Road) in Providence/Waterville Township.
Chip seal treatment helps to extend the life of a road in good condition by five to seven years. It is also extremely cost efficient and costs a fraction of the cost it would take to fully resurface a road.
Construction of this project is funded through our annual budget, which is made up of gas tax and license plate fees.
